FREE ENERGY ASSESSMENT PROGRAM

NV Energy has always offered a great self-assessment tool online. You can pull it up on your account and see a step by step guide on how to assess your home’s use of energy. It’s simple, fast, and will really help you in saving a bit of money.

Now, you can have a trained PowerShift energy advisor come to your home to do a even more thorough check for absolutely no charge! All you have to do is call their office or send them an email (the contact info is below), and schedule a time for the advisor to stop by. He or she will walk through the entire house and offer you tips and tricks to make your house more energy efficient.

And what does this mean for you? If you follow these tips to the fullest, you could save up to 10%-20% on your monthly electric bill. A self-assessment is great, but to have an expert give a second opinion is invaluable.

FREE SMART THERMOSTAT PROGRAM

A smart thermostat is a piece of the future in your home today. The ability to control the temperature in your home from your mobile device or computer allows you to finetune your A/C experience. You can raise the temperature remotely when you’re not home, and have it cool again for when you return. You can read our entire article about smart thermostats here to learn more.

Smart thermostats usually start in the ballpark of $250 and work their way steadily up. Luckily, NV Energy has a special program where eligible customers can receive a smart thermostat for free! And, better yet, they will send a technician to install the thermostat in your home for no charge as well. That means no money out of your pocket, and, in return, you get to save even more money when you utilize the thermostat on a regular basis.

The best part is that the smart thermostat from NV Energy comes with a full analysis report. You can access it online or through the app and instantly see when you spend the most and the least on your A/C. Looking over this data, you can see where is the best to save money and turn your thermostat a few degrees up. We have an article you can read here to learn more about the easiest times to turn the house up a few degrees.

If you are a customer of NV Energy, you get the wonderful opportunity to access over a dozen different A/C rebates. These are instant rebates that automatically reduce your bill.
